We've prepared a list of questions and answers that reflects most of the things guests want to know

If this list doesn't include your question, just ask!  We'll be happy to answer it, and who knows -- maybe it will end up this list too!  Here goes:

 

What is Provided with the Accommodation?

All of our vacation rentals come with a fully stocked kitchen, as well as sheets and towels for your convenience. We also provide an initial supply of essentials, including soap, toilet paper, trash bags, a roll of paper towels, and dishwasher soap. After booking, you'll receive your "digital welcome booklet," which contains additional information about your beach home and what to expect during your stay.



Is There an Age Restriction?

Yes, we do not rent to vacationing students or young adults under the age of 25.

There a Minimum Stay Requirement?

Yes, we require just a 3-night stay in paradise—perfect for a quick escape or an extended getaway. Get ready to kick back, relax, and enjoy your time by the beach!

Do You Allow Pets?

Unfortunately, our rentals are not "pet-friendly" due to HOA regulations in the complexes where our condos are located. This policy was put in place after a few unfortunate incidents. If you're looking for a pet-friendly beach property, your best option would be to explore individual cottages, townhomes, or homes that aren't governed by HOA rules.



Do All of Your Properties Have WiFi?

Yes, all Southern Hospitality Vacation Rentals properties offer WiFi for our guests completely free of charge.

 

Do You Offer Direct Bookings?

Absolutely! You can book directly through our website—just click the "BOOK NOW" button at the top of the page. By booking directly, you avoid the fees and service charges that many online platforms add. We only charge for rent, cleaning, and tax. Simple, easy, and savings for you! Plus, you're booking directly with a small family business that's been around since 2009.


Do you have any baby gear?

Yes, we have a pack-n-play and high chair at all condos.


What are the average temperatures in Miramar Beach/Destin and Blue Mtn. Beach/30A?

During the winter months (December-February), the air temperatures average around 62 degrees for a high and the low forties for a low. The winter water temperature hovers around 64 degrees. During the spring, high temperatures reach the low eighties and the water temperature is a balmy 72 degrees. The weather heats up for summer with highs easily reaching the mid-nineties in June, July, and August. In the fall, you can expect comfortable warm temperatures in the mid-eighties. The water temperature stays well above eighty from April through October.

How Do I Make a Reservation?

With Southern Hospitality Vacation Rentals, booking your stay is easy! You have two options:

  1. Online: Click the "BOOK NOW" button at the top of this page. Simply enter your arrival and departure dates, select the property you're interested in, and our reservation system will guide you through the process.

  2. By Phone: You can also reach me, Andree, at (504-669-3437) between 8 AM and 8 PM, 7 days a week.

For reservations made on our website, a $400.00 deposit is required, with the remaining balance due 60 days before your arrival. If you're booking within 60 days of your stay, payment in full will be required at the time of booking.

Please note: Reservations made through other listing sites may differ in cost and terms. The prices listed here are guaranteed ONLY for reservations made directly with us.



What if I Have to Cancel My Reservation?

Southern Hospitality Vacation Rentals understands that unforeseen circumstances do arise. However, this is not a hotel, but a small, family owned vacation rental business and we cannot easily re-book lost income from cancellations, as do large hotels. Once you have reserved the condo, it is taken off the availability calendar and all inquiries for that period are turned away. As a result, all payments made will follow our cancellation schedule detailed in your rental contract. If you need further information, please contact us.


What About Parking?

Parking Passes are required for all of our properties and you will be informed how your passes are distributed. If you will be traveling with more than 2 vehicles or towing a boat or other trailer, please contact us prior to arrival to ensure that your accommodations have adequate parking for, and/or allow trailers, etc.


What time is Check In/Check Out?

Check in is 5pm  and Check out is 10am.

 

Can I get an early check in?

We have a certain standard for our properties and we want you to be pleased.  On the day of your arrival, I will be in contact with you and sometimes we can arrange an early check-in.  We will do our best, without any promises.

 

I see the price listed for Nightly/Weekly Rentals; what other fees are added to my reservation?

12% for Walton County, sales tax (county & state) is added to all reservations. A cleaning fee will be added and detailed on your quote. A security deposit in the amount of $500 will be placed on your credit card 7 days prior to arrival. This can be secured through a "HOLD" on your credit card or the receipt of funds in another form of payment. The deposit will be returned or the "HOLD" released within 48 hours after your departure subject to no damage being done to the unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. No other Booking Fees, Resort Fees or Amenity Fees will be added to your reservation!


Are Monthly Rentals Available?

Yes! In the fall and winter most of our properties are available for monthly rental. Monthly pricing is not provided on our site, please call. Some properties may also be available for monthly rental during other seasons of the year. Please contact us for pricing and availability.


Are group reservations available?

We do have a few condos where we have multiple units that will accommodate many groups. Church Retreats, Wedding parties, Business Retreats, or Family Reunions are all welcome and we look forward to an opportunity to work with you.

If you are not a regular and don’t already have your favorite hang-outs and dinner spots, or charter boat, we will gladly help you find the most fun things to do, the best places to eat, and the coolest hang-outs!  Once you are booked for the beach with us, you will receive a link to our Mobile App.  It contains lots of information about the area and our properties.
